Jake Turner is the founder and director of JT Certification Services and an accredited Level 2 Building Surveyor based in Mount Gambier, South Australia. With a career built across both local government and private practice, Jake combines practical construction experience with strong regulatory knowledge to support builders, designers, developers and homeowners through the building approval process.

Starting his career on the tools, Jake developed a grounded understanding of how buildings come together—knowledge that now underpins his approach to assessing designs, providing clear guidance, and ensuring projects meet the expectations of the National Construction Code and South Australian building regulations. His background allows him to bridge the gap between design intent and on-site construction with a practical, solution-focused mindset.
